Now it’s time to think about 2009, Jan 3th to be exact. That’s the first race of the 2009 Season for the Fellowship Cup. The CSC & PBSC Racers have suggested improvements to the racing for the 2009 season such as; increasing the Offshore events to one a month; having more series contributing to the results; separation of fleets for racing, providing Awards for each Series and sponsoring some after race get together. The two clubs’ Race Committees have responded with the following schedule for 2009. Click Here for 2009 Offshore Racing Results Series l with 4 event dates, with potential for 7races. Now to make all this happen we need some Race Committees, RC boats, Awards, refreshments, etc., and this is goinh take some help from you and some green from the participants, as the clubs have contributed as much as they can. $100 for whole season or $50 per series will do the trick. That’s about $5.50 a race, and that ain’t bad. The Hillsboro & Castaways Cup require separate entrance fees as they have their own set of awards and expenses. We will have 3 separate fleets. The PHRF fleet, the JAM fleet and the Multihull fleet. They will be scored separately. We’re going to keep like competitors racing together. Entrants are open to CSC, PBSC members and to any individual whose yacht meets the safety and seaworthy requirements of SF PHRF criteria. Applicants will be accepted by submitting a current PHRF Certificate (Note: SFPHRF has changed the measuring criteria for 2009 ), along with the entrance fee. Anyone needing assistance to apply for a Certificate contact either Gordon Rowse CSC - PRO or Carl Shellbach PBSC - PRO. All applications are due prior to the start of a Series. Applications for the Season or Series I are due Jan. 28th. That’s a slight reprieve for recovering from the Xmas season and allowing for getting a current PHRF Certificate. Make your checks payable to Castaways Sailing Inc. Attention Fellowship Cup, and send your applications to: Gordon Rowse PRO CSC 1030 Powell Drive Riviera Beach, Fl 33404
